This page explains how to delete your Winksi account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to delete your account

You can delete your Winksi account at any time, directly within the app:

  1. Open the Winksi app and sign in.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top corner of any page.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. In the confirmation prompt, tap Delete (or Cancel to keep your account).

Your account and associated data are then removed as described below.

If you are unable to access the app, you may also request account deletion by emailing winksi.app@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We will verify your request and process the deletion.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our live systems and from user-accessible backups:

Private messages are not retained on our servers in the ordinary course. Messages you previously sent that were already delivered are stored on the recipient's device and automatically delete after 30 days; these are outside your account and are not controlled by account deletion.

What data is retained, and for how long

Some limited data may be retained after account deletion, only where necessary for safety, security, or legal compliance:

This retention is consistent with the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy. After the applicable retention period expires, this data is deleted.
